It’s not actually a disease in itself but is a symptom of something else. While anemia in people is often caused by iron deficiency in the diet, this is rarely the case in dogs.

In anemia the red blood cells tend to decrease and not being replaced as quick as they should. As red blood cells originate from the bone marrow, analysis starts with situation that affects the area of the body like leukemia, bone marrow cancer and medicines which has a noxious consequences.
